An antique county map Northamptonshire by William Smith from the "Anonymous Series" based on the work of Saxton and Norden believed to have been engraved by Jocodus Hondius. This map was published by John Overton in 1675. The colouring is later. Overton's imprint preceded by the corrected initial 'J' can be seen in the key in the bottom left of the map. This map has been cropped back to the platemark and has been laid down on stiff paper. It is still an attractive map.

There is a blemish near the word Lichfield caused by a drop of red sealing wax on the verso.
