A tiny antique county map of Montgomeryshire published by John Luffman in his atlas " New Pocket Atlas and Geography of England and Wales" in 1803. This atlas contained fifty four of these circular maps which measure 6cms in diameter. Beneath each map is an account of the county which includes its size, number of towns, parishes, houses and population and details of rivers, terrain, industry and products of the county.

From Campden to Evesholme to Worcester to Hundred House to Tenbury to Ludlow to Bishops Castle to Montgomery.

This antique county map of Monmouthshire from"The Geography of England" was published in 1744. John Cowley collaborated with Robert Dodsley for many years in the production of these maps and that is why they are popularly referred to as Dodsley/Cowley maps.

This antique county map of Montgomeryshire is from a rare edition of "The Theatre of the Empire of Great Britain" by John Speed, published in 1616 with Latin text on the verso. The maps were generally published uncoloured, but a few copies of the atlas were coloured at the time. This map is from one of those scarce editions.

This rare and curious antique map of Montgomeryshire was produced from the research of ARISTIDE MICHAEL PERROT in 1823. This map, a copper plate engraving, has original outline handcolouring. Some maps show a single county, but more often two or more counties were joined to form a group which is similar in industry, agriculture and terrain.
