Thomas Taylor is significant in a Welsh context for publishing the small county atlas 'The Principality of Wales exactly described' in 1718, which seems to have been the first published atlas relating entirely to Wales. The colouring is original. Maps from this atlas are not easy to find. Generous margins and fine condition.

Initially issued in 1607, Britannia was the first publication that contained a complete set of individual county maps of England and Wales.
