Lotharingiae Ducatus Superiorioris vera delineatio, pub. Johannes Bussemacher, Cologne, c.1600. An antique map of the Franco-German border area, with two inset portraits in top left and lower right corners by Matthias Quad , uncoloured engraved map slight text show through. Latin text on verso. Title cartouche and scale at lower left. Matthaus Quad was a German cartographer based in Cologne, which, at the time was the centre for German cartography. This map is from his Fascilus Geographicus. It was printed by Johannes Bussemacher.

This departmental atlas of France was issued both bound as a book and as a collection of linen backed pocket format maps. Published Paris 1833. Good margins. Some blemishes present caused by damp staining.
