Emanuel Bowen.
An antique county map of Bedfordshire entitled "An Accurate Map of the County of Bedford Divided into its Hundreds." by Emmanuel Bowen. A fine detailed 18th centy map of the county embellished with an uncoloured title cartouche. A rococo cartouche beneath a coat of arms displays the dedication to the Duke of Bedford. Index Villaris in bottom right corner has a list of Places and their Chief Persons. Printed for John Bowles in Cornhil, Carington Bowles in St. Pauls Church Yard and Robt. Sayer in Fleet Street. Original outline hand colouring. Some repaired marginal tears. Circa 1763.

John Ogilby - The Road from London to St. Neott's to Oakeham.
This antique strip map is from the "Britannia" by John Ogilby, published in 1675. The colouring is later. This map is Number 45 of 100 maps in the atlas and is entitled " The Road from London to St. Neott's continued to Oakeham." From High Barnet to Hatfield to Stevenage to Baldock to Biggleswade to Temsford to St. Neott's to Catworth to Lyford to Harringworth to Oakeham.

Robert Morden.
This antique county map of Bedfordshire by Robert Morden was first published in 1701 in a work entitled "The New Description and State of England" however, a subsequent edition by Herman Moll in 1708 added a compass indicator and other detail.
